It is imperative that your kitchen doubles as a place you want to cook and enjoy your meals and a safe room.  Cooking dinner could be a family activity and you don’t want to put your children or anyone living in your home in danger. Below are some tips for keeping yourself and your family safe.

  • Don’t leave children unsupervised. There are many dangerous appliances in the kitchen.
  • Wash your hands in warm soapy water to prevent foodborne illness.
  • Make sure to refrigerate foods that can spoil quickly such as dairy and raw fish/meat.
  • Always put cooked food on a clean plate.
  • When you leave the kitchen turn off the stove and unplug all appliances that are not in use.
  • Do not leave the oven or stove on with the door open as a way to heat up a room.
  • Keep electrical appliances away from the water to avoid shocks.
  • Do not let children play with electrical sockets.
  • Use a frying screen to prevent grease splattering, grease splattering can cause burns when it comes in contact with skin.
  • Throw baking soda or flour on a grease fire.

At Frederick Kitchens and Baths, we work with you to establish a budget that allows you to get the room of your dreams, without stressing your checkbook.

For more than 18 years, Frederick Kitchens and Baths has been remodeling and customizing bathrooms. We know space, time and money are all limiting factors, but they have never stopped us from creating comfortable, practical bathrooms.

Remodeling a bathroom can include a total tear out of the vanity, sitting area, toilet, shower and tub – or we can help you achieve a new look with a simple floor replacement. The choice is yours. Our remodels can also include accessories and fixtures that complement the new, or existing, color and pattern scheme. Paying attention to the small details is one our specialties.

Once you’ve agreed to the design plan and procedure, our skilled team begins working immediately. They’ll remove the old furniture and accessories, prepare the area, and install the materials and pieces you’ve chosen, leaving the area clean and clutter free upon completion.
